A graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, Matt received an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a Master’s of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. Matt has enjoyed working in the mental health field for over 15 years, including social work, residential care, family support, inmate counseling, group therapy and most recently the last four years, Matt’s focus has been providing outpatient individual counseling and family counseling with In-Home Therapy services (CBHI).
Building a safe, non-judgmental, and therapeutic relationship with individuals is a cornerstone piece of therapy that is prioritized by Matt. Matt's clinical specialties include providing services for teenagers, and adults in individual and family therapy sessions. Matt’s passion is to support individuals in reaching their full potential for functioning, increase self-awareness, independence and promote healing.
Matt utilizes a variety of techniques and evidence-based modalities tailored to fit the individual needs of his clients. Matt holds Advanced training's in ARC (attachment regulation and competency) ARC Grow (caregiver curriculum) TF CBT (Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy) Motivational Interviewing and Recovery Coach training.
